As you may remember I was in Mexico last month to do some distributor meetings and to pre-launch a new product. The big boss was there last week to continue the hype and was asked "why are you here. Where is Eric" (all with a spanish accent). When I arrived at work today he (the big boss) said to me "Can you come down to Acapulco and help me launch Durian Fusion?" I said "of course". This is the good part and please don't tell my wife. It is going to e a surprise. The big boss told me I could bring my wife. How exciting is that!!!!!!!! So in June I will get to spend some time with the love of my life in wonderful Acapulco.
Remember don't tell.......

Bye bye Deck!
Well the time has come for our old rickety ugly old deck to come down. Eric is in project mode! YEAH!! He has spent the last two days tearing that bad boy down. He did such a great job! He salvaged all the good wood for our new deck and tossed out the bad. He tore his jeans and got a nice big nail scratch on his leg. It's no fun unless there's blood involved. We had a barbeque last night (bad timing) with Eric's parents and brother. So he put a ladder out the back sliding door where the deck use to be, and went about business as usual. It was pretty
funny watching him shimmy up and down our back door. And not a burger was dropped!!!

Working on cars
Well the van has been leaking anti-freeze for a long time but in the last week it has gotten really bad. So after a great dinner at the in-laws I climbed under the van to find that the water pump was leaking. There isn't a lot of room to work so I debated weather I should take it to a professional or do it myself.
I ended up doing it myself. After $106 worth of parts and 2 hours later the van was fully operational. I also changed the drive belt which in the past has been a huge pain in the butt. You would think that because I have changed it about 50 times that I would know how to do it. But NO. After 10 minutes of saying things that only a sailor would understand the belt went on. I was a mess, grease up to my elbows and several fingers bleeding. After all that the van runs great and is very quite.
Then at 11:30pm the phone rings. On the other end is my wife who tells me she has a flat. So I woke up at 5:30am and got the kids up and put them in the car and drove to work and changed the tire.
The important thing is my wife and kids have a safe car to drive around in. A little blood and grease is a small price to pay for the safety of my family.

Book of "Ramen" and "Out"sects
My kids are always saying goofy things. If I don't write them down, I tend to forget them. Justice had a couple of real cute ones lately. Yesterday he was giving a talk in church. He was suppose to say "Book of Mormon" but he said Book of "RAMEN" his favorite food. He laughed, and then everyone else laughed. Well he eats it so much it is affecting his speech :-).
A couple weeks ago we were talking about bugs. Montana was trying to remember what bugs with more than 6 legs are called. Justice said "They're called OUTsects. Well, at least he is learning his opposites. We had a good laugh!!

Traveling Again
Well it looks like I am traveling again. This time to Europe. First to Germany then London then back to Germany. I am excited but I hate being away from my family.
This trip is to learn more about a new product. I have tested it already and am very excited about it. If I get the chance to market it properly, it could be huge for the company. I will talk more when I get back. I will also attach some pictures. I hope I will get a chance to tour London and see some of Germany. After all it is the country where I was born.

Mexico
Several weeks ago I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico. It was an amazing trip. We stayed in Mexico City and traveled everyday to different cities around the country. I think in all it was 7 planes in 5 days. By Friday I was very tired.
I had the chance to spend the day at Palenque. This is an ancient Mayan city. It has been listed as one of the 1000 places people need to go before they die. I guess only 999 places to go. The feeling was very interesting. I walked through some living spaces where people slept 1200 years ago. Here are a few pictures. It is truely an amazing place.

Sierra's a Cheerleader!
Well, after three weeks of auditions, workshops, campaigning, practicing, and fretting. Sierra is offically a cheerleader at Bennion Junior High next year.
She is attending Eisenhower this year, but her dad will be moving into the boundaries of Bennion and we feel it will be a much better school for her. So we have had to shuttle her back and forth from schools for the last few weeks. FUN!
She did an awesome job and is very excited. She has also made it for dance company there but with STARS and the rest of her busy social schedule- we don't know if she will be able to do it all and keep her grades up. So we will see how things work out.
She really wishes the year was over at Eisenhower so she could get on to the next chapter of her life. But it will be here before we know it!! Go Bobcats!!

Our First Family Disney Trip
We had such a blast! 3 days at both parks and we still didn't see everything we wanted to. I thought the best part was that Eric insisted that we ALL get ear hats. It was his first time there too! He is still a kid at heart!
We wore ourselves out everyday. We would come home for a nap mid-day and then go party til late at night. It was a great time.
Justice was still a little afraid of some of the rides. He would get on the ride and cry the whole time "THIS IS NOT FUN!!" We tried not to laugh at him but it was pretty funny. He cried on the Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Tours, and the Jungle Cruise- which are pretty tame! They played Red Hot Chili Pepp
ers Songs on the Roller Coaster rides which made them even more fun- we would be rockin' out and it was over before it really got started. We stood in line for the Autotopia (Where the kids can drive) for an hour and a half- we were getting really close to the front when Justice had to go potty and couldn't hold it- so Eric took him and the girls and I still rode it. Sierra drove her own car, and Montana and I were in another. It was hilarious. Sierra kept saying- "It was so hard to push the gas. Is that how hard it really is?" I would just say yep! She is growing up so fast, I try to discourage her from any of the fun stuff anytime I can. Montana drove and I pushed the gas. She would laugh and scream on every turn. Anyway- even though Justice didn't ride that one- he still says the Cars were his favorite! What a card!

Sierra and Eric went back to the park by themselves one night when the little ones and I wanted to go swimming instead. They rode a few rides and spent some good time together. They really needed that FUN time together. When they came back they realized they hadn't taken a room key. The kids and I had long been asleep. They pounded on the door, called the room, my cell phone, Sierra's cell phone- I heard none of it. So they went to the front desk to get a new key. It didn't work. They tried a second new key. It didn't work either. So the maintenance guy came up with some kind of machine to fix the door for them. By the time they got the door open, Sierra was asleep in the hall, Eric was p.o.'d about the whole ordeal- and I was just waking up. We all laughed about it in the morning. It was quite an ordeal.
We had breakfast in the park with the characters on our last morning there. It was awesome! The kids were mesmerized when they would come to our table and spend some time with us. We saw Tigger, Alice in Wonderland and the Madhatter, Chip and Dale, and Captain Hook. Out in the park we saw, Goofy, Mickey, Lightning McQueen and Mater. That was the BEST! Justice got to wave the flag for them to leave the area they were at. We got ALL of their autographs and pics with each one.
We stopped to watch a parade of "High School Musical" It was so cute. At the end they grabbed folks from the audience to come and dance with them. They grabbed Montana and she love
d it. She was out there shakin her stuff and so excited to be a part of it all. We got some pics and video of it.
The fireworks each night, the lines, the thrilling rides, the excitement of what to do next- was such a great memory for all of us. We are so thankful that we were finally able to do this for our kids. It was totally worth it!!
We rented a car for the drive, not roomy like our van, but it was a nice ride. The kids played games, watched movies, and slept. It was long, but we had fun being together.
Eric and I had so much fun, he suggested we go back for our anniversary in November- just the two of us- and ride all the "Grown-up" rides. I think that would be fun. But what would we tell the kids????
